I've been really bored without FFXI. Really bored. I'm going to come back this month, but I haven't decided if I want to stay on Odin or not.
I've spent my entire 4 years on Odin, and made lots of good friends. Many of whom have moved on in their lives and quit the game. Part of me wants to stay on Odin in case they decide to come back, and part of me wants to move to a different server to make new friends.
I'm at a loss as to what I want to do. I know I do want to continue playing, but I'm just not sure where. It's a big decision to leave Odin, because it's a closed server and if I leave, I can't go back.
I'm looking at Fenrir as a definite option. I've got Anansi there and what little I've played on her I've enjoyed that server. The people seem friendly and helpful. Being an open server would make leveling a lot easier, too.
I've just spent so much time on Odin and also have a lot of options as to what I could do if I stay. I could go back to my old linkshell and try to help it. Or I could work on my merits and move to an HNM like I've always wanted to.
Decisions, decisions.
Fenrir is a nice place, but that's my very subjective opinion on that matter. (I've never played on any other server.) I suppose one of the major reasons I like Fenrir is that I have friends there, and although many have left, I'd say almost half have come back at some point, if just for a little while. If you end up looking for new scenery, your warmly welcome on Fenrir~
