Chirp, chirp!

Yes, I actually spend money in the Square Enix webstore. Don't give me shit, this is the cutest little Chocobo in the history of Chocobos! He is destined to live forever in front of my monitor with Cerberus. He came with a code for an ingame one for my Mog House, but I'll have to hide it until I decide to come back. Too bad it couldn't have come a few days ago, I would have been able to put it in there! Oh well, one more thing to look forward to when I come back.

My life has taken some pretty crappy turns money wise, and I've decided that one way to save some money, is to put my FFXI account on hold. It was very sad to deactivate my content IDs, but I know it's not forever.

I've played this game for 4 years now. Stardust is my first and only "main" character; and as silly as it sounds, I've grown attached to her. I even cried when I finalized it all.

I wasn't able to speak with LBW, the leader of my shell, but I did leave him a message and part of the sky bank. Hopefully they'll continue sky, and if not that money deserves to be divided up between our remaining members.

Our sky was going downhill fast. I refrained from blogging about it, because I'd always tried to remain optimistic. That's not the case. We've lost too many members due to some big drama that happened a while back (I'm still not clear on what all happened), leaders disappearing without notice other than: "Oh hey I'm on trial for such-and-such linkshell blah blah blah...", and generally lower and lower attendance. And I'll admit; I'm not the perfect leader. I've actually been AWOL for 3 weeks, but that's because I'm sort-of a coward and didn't want to deal with it.

So yeah, I'm psudo-quitting because of money, but also I'm tired of it all. I'm not trying to put anyone down, and if by chance anyone actually reads this; know that I'm proud of what we created. For a time our sky was unstoppable. And the few dedicated members that stuck around to the end, I'm proud to have been associated with you guys. You're awesome! But the time comes I suppose for every linkshell's demise.

I'm just sorry I'm too coward to tell you "face to face".

Again, if this is actually read; I wish you all the best. Nothing but luck and fortune in your endeavors. I will be back someday, I only hope that you'll accept me back.

Life on Fenrir

I've been having lots of fun on Fenrir. Hanging out with my brother is always nice.

Anansi has decided to be a Black Mage for a little while, as it levels faster than White Mage. At least until level 18 when she can unlock the ability to use a support job.

The people on the server are all very nice. She's found one linkshell already that's full of super nice people. Aitsukihime made his own linkshell though, so she's been hanging out in there. Hopefully we can build up membership and it can be something great. I've always liked to lead, and I think I could be an asset.

She's also made a new friend! A super nice Hume girl with a ponytail!

My best friend in the world of Vana 'diel, Ianyasha, has decided to move on with his real life and quit the game. I'm very sad to see him go, but I know that the time always comes for people to move on.

I wish him nothing but the best of luck in his endeavors in life.

It's been a while.

Been a long time since my last post. I've been busy. With real life mostly, which is okay.

Managed to get DRK to 37, so now I can CSS.

My Sky shell has moved into Sea one day a week, we just started last week and I missed this week's run due to sick children, but it seems like we'll be good there.

My brother has started a character on the Fenrir server. I toyed around with the idea of moving over there, but decided against it. Well, that and Mooner told me I better not, lol. So I've made a new character to play with him on. She looks just like Stardust and her name is Anansi. Started out in Sandy, of course ^.^ It's actually pretty fun to start over again. I have no plans on doing CoP or anything with her, but city missions and things are fun to redo. She's also a WHM.

That's really about it. Between logging in for Sky/Sea or to level WHM or DNC, I really haven't been up to much lately. Once October is over I'll probably get the itch to play a lot more again. October is my favorite month and I hate missing it!

So my friend Ianyasha and I have been doing the FoV NM in Valley of Sorrows once a day to try to get a pimp INT +6 augment on our Weskits. After a week or so of trying, Ian got his tonight! So exciting! I got another bleh one, Resist Poison +2, but oh well, I can always try again tomorrow after I get enough tabs built back up, lol.

I've been feeling out of place in my linkshell. Aside from sky, I don't really talk much in it. Because when I do, it feels like no one listens or cares about what I have to say. I know I'm being all /emo about it but it's really starting to get to me. There is one in paticular that just seem to go out of their way to ignore, and it really bothers me. I just wish I knew what I've done or haven't done to make them feel this way. Maybe it's because I'm not used to dealing with other females in game. They all seem like nice girls but maybe that's just it, they're girls and I'm used to being around guys. Or maybe I've done something to piss them off and I don't realize. Or maybe I just haven't been in the linkshell long enough for them to like me.

Anyway, enough /crying.

Sky updates. Looks like we need to spam some Kirin, as W.Legs are now the item with the longest list. It's nice that we're done spamming Byakko for a while, though. It's just now we have to go through another pants drought.

Still have yet to put some merits on my Red Mage. I've been trying to keep up on my Black Mage as after each Sky and Dynamis run it's in serious danger of deleveling. I'm back up to a 30k buffer but that won't last long the way I play.

Got caught up on my Purple and Brown belt quests so now all I need to do is obtain the tounge and egg and I'll have my Black Belt. Sounds way easier than it will actually be, most likely, as I don't know how to go about getting the last two items. Do I wait until the ls decides to run more KS99s or do I sit and try to mooch off the HNMLS's when they kill Behemoth and Aspi?

That's about it, camping VE when I have some spare time, this fly hates me. Also have to deal with the idiots that come and kill all the flys instead of just the place holder. Grrr.

Back in Business!

After my long week of no FFXI, I'm back! Spent a lot of time getting my Red Mage a buffer, so it can die lol...going to work on merits maybe today or tomorrow.



Did some Dynamis, Jeuno and Xarcabard. Which brings my points back up out of the negative, so that's good. Picked these up, too.Added to my nuking macro. I've not talked to a lot of other RDMs but I was doing 700-800 damage on Puddings. Not sure if that's good or not.

Sky last night went well. Moonbath is out of town this week so Danteyy has agreed to step up into leadership and he actually did quite well with me last night. He has good ideas and works well with everyone and myself so I think he'll work out. They had gotten a couple Diorite last week while I was gone so we popped Ulli twice and did 2 Byakko. Congrats to Liela on her Haidate!!!

That's really all I have, lots of stuff going on but don't really feel like typing it all out, since no one reads this most likely, anyway...

Deathly Bored...

I'm having money issues, and therefore was not able to make my payment for August. I have to wait until I get paid on Thursday to pay PoL. I know it's only a few days, but I'm already bored and miss the game.

I guess I'll go beat Fable 2 again, lol.

Could use a nap!

So I was going to go see Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince this Saturday, but my best friend's husband was being a dick. Sucks. I rented The Haunting in Connecticut instead. It sucked. I've seen that movie before, it was called The Amityville Horror. I understand that it was based off a true story, but I was still dissapointed and I believe a lot of it was fabricated for the movie, anyway. It did have the chick that plays in Candyman though, I dig her.

I'm writing this really fast while the game is under maintenance. I have to step out anyway for a while, real life calls, but tonight being Sky night I may not make it back in time. That's what my other leaders are for though, hopefully one of them are on. Speaking of leaders, I'd like to welcome Mooner into leadership of the shell! He's taking Zanen's place and I think he'll do a good job.

I hit 75 on Red Mage today! Yay! Now to cap it off tomorrow and NEVER EVER PARTY IT AGAIN!

Sky went well, killed just about every NM there is to kill. We got all but Despot I do believe. Ended up getting like 16 points for the night. I'm proud of my group, they're pretty awesome.

I watched Knowing tonight with Nicolas Cage. It was a very very good movie until the last like, 20 minutes...WTFALIENS?!

We did do Kirin tonight in sky. 35 minutes, we're getting better! Congrats to Wolverine for getting his Osode, Jaisawn for getting his Shura body, and Boneflower for getting her pole!

Wedding, amongst other things....

So...to start my blog off, I'm going to write about my wedding to Mooner, whom I've been friends with for about 3 years now.







The day started out a little boring. We met Akryi (played by her husband as she wasn't home yet) in Jeuno at the church to do our last rehersal before our meeting with the Wedding Master, and had about an hour to spare before they were suppost to arrive. Mooner spent that time crafting and I chatted with Akyri's husband Krueger about ghost hunting, lol. Akyri gets home and we practice some things a little more. She finally starts getting /tells from the WM, who's getting ready to meet with us.

So the Wedding Master pops up (like a GM, only they're not) wearing a Royal Cloak, which I thought was kind of odd, 2 Sandy rings, and PLD relic boots. Cool, I guess. I thought they could have dressed better but yeah...Anyway, she goes over the rules and what's expected of the guests with Aky then sends her on her way to meet the guests and give them all pearls to the linkshell I made for the day, dirtylittlesecrets. I know, cool name ^^ I'm keeping the shell around for something.













Anyway, while Aky's busy with the guests Mooner and I reherse our vows and actions with the WM, she even praised me for having everything macroed right, lol. We were pretty well off with knowing what to do thanks to my lovely friend, so we ended up waiting and chatting with the WM about things while we waited on our guests.











Time came for them to enter, most of our friends were able to make it. Quite a few of mine that I had invited couldn't show, but that's okay. Mooner was able to invite more of his. They're all mutual friends of mine anyway, so I was okay with it.

We went through our ceremony very well, I only forgot to turn once, lol.













It was really neat, and afterward there were fireworks and dancing!









After the dancing, fireworks, and giftgiving were through, the guests went on their way, and Mooner, Aky, Krue and I stayed behind for more pictures. I wanted one of us and the WM but they left before I could ask. At least she was dancing in the picture above!


After all was said and done, for the honeymoon we went and duoed Appollon NW? NE? I don't remember, I don't do Limbus often, but it was fun! Running around Sea in our formal wear is super cool, too. Not too many people have the RA/EX wedding set. ^^ The rings with our names are awesome, too. They have no stats other than to looks nice, but I have a new "idle" set, now!

After Limbus we talked his brother, Moondaddy, into some ENM'ing! We all but MD had the key item for Boneyard Gully, so we did that one first. We lost due to timing out, so not even a chance for Hagun, but that's okay. I really do need to merit my poor Monk, though. His Samurai was blowing me out of the water! After Boneyard Gully, Mooner was nice enough to lead us up the mountain in Uleguarand Range so we could do Brothers. We all even made it to the ledge without falling the first time! We climbed back up after getting our key items and only had to wait a short time for the weather to go away. Jormy wasn't up, I always get sad when he's not, he's very photogenic!
So we won Brothers very easily and got crap for drops. As usual. I lotted highest on both, a 2k dragon bone and a pretty decent sword that I can use for Red Mage, which I'm keeping.

After the ENM's we went to the Tree for some skilling up, me on club and he on polearm. That didn't last long though because, while we did run into some mutual friends of ours, it was very late and a few of them had AWFUL spam macros and I couldn't take it, so we warped out and ended up bazaaring together all night in Bastok.

Wednesday night was Sky, we did a Kirin. Our first attempt at an *almost* zerg...sort of...the tanks held him still for a while? Our shell just doesn't have the jobs for a true 1-2 minute zerg Kirin, but we normally get him down with little trouble and that's all that matters. I have a very good core group of members and I can't wait to get them their gear! Oh, Schmoopy got her W.legs off Wednesday's Kirin, so CONGRATS to Schmoop!

On a sad note, due to SE's weird random credit card related bannings, my sky linkshell lost a founder/leader/friend. My close friend Zanen, who co-founded the sky shell with me and Moonbath, was banned for no reason that SE will give him. So now we are left 1 leader, and friend, shy. I'll miss you Zan! <3
